AWS Security Engineer
– About –
I’m thrilled you’ve found your way to my corner of the internet. I’m JV Wolfe.
Almost five years ago, I stumbled upon a Professor Messer video on Security+. What started as idle curiosity quickly snowballed into an all-consuming passion. I made the decision to go all-in on this new path, pivoting from accounting to cybersecurity. To this day, that remains the second-best decision of my life. (I’ll keep you guessing about the first!)
Since then, my journey in IT and cybersecurity has been nothing short of a rollercoaster:
- I cut my teeth as a help desk and system admin at a staffing company
- Navigated the fast-paced world of management consulting as a network admin
- Built out a robust security program at an investment management firm
- All of the above, while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Information Security
I love writing about my passions (think: cybersecurity, continuous learning, business, and general tech-nerdy stuff) on my blog. Speaking of continuous learning, this website gives me an outlet to showcase what I’ve learned, what I’m currently learning, and what projects I am working on.
I hope you’ll find insights here that challenge, inspire, and maybe even spark your second-best decision!
